Dr Fiona Christie undertook her initial medical degree at Monash University Melbourne. After some years of hospital work, she moved to Albury Wodonga and joined Federation Clinic as a Basic GP Registrar in 2004. In that year Fiona received the
GPET Australian Registrar of the Year award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Federation Clinic in her first year of General Practice.
Since completing her GP training and achieving RACGP Fellowship Fiona has continued to work at the clinic.
Her main area of interest is Obstetric care including both antenatal and intrapartum care.
In addition to her clinical work at Federation Clinic Fiona was the 2006 Registrar Liason Officer for Bogong GP Training, the GP training provider for North East Victoria. As part of this role she has been actively involved in seminars in Melbourne and Sydney aimed at recruiting more junior doctors to GP training especially in the Bogong area. Fiona also has an interest in teaching medical students in General Practice.
Due to family commitments Fiona's work at Federation clinic is currently on a part time basis.
