Reception Staff Changes

September saw the departure of Annabelle from the reception team as she embarked on an overseas adventure. Annabelle made a great contribution to the team during her time with us and thoroughly enjoyed the diversity and experience of working in a busy General Practice.

In early October 2016, Tash will return to the reception team after previously taking a 6-month break to travel abroad.

GP Diversity Placement – Dr Yun Ma

As part of training as a GP Registrar, doctors are required to undertake a ‘diversity of practice’ placement with an alternate clinic. During October and November 2016 it is our pleasure to have Dr Yun Ma join our team of clinicians. Dr Ma has been working in the local area for the past year and a half, after having completed her medical degrees at the University of Melbourne along with rotations at several leading Victorian hospitals.

Medical Student – Andrew Feehan

Throughout the month of October Federation Clinic will be hosting 3rd-year post-graduate medical student Andrew Feehan, from the University of Melbourne. Andrew is originally from the Wangaratta region and has most recently been working at Goulburn Valley Health in Shepparton. During his time with us, Andrew will be encouraged to experience the various aspects of working as a clinician in General Practice, which will include participating in patient consultations, attending our clinic training sessions and assisting with our regular visits to a number of aged care facilities in the local area. Should you be attending the clinic on a day that Andrew may be involved in your consultation, you will be provided information from reception. This process is voluntary, should you not wish for Andrew to be involved in your consultation please let reception know on arrival.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

In an emergency please call ‘000’.

Every effort is made to keep appointments running to time, however, due to the unpredictable nature of our work this is not always possible. Patients are encouraged to contact us prior to an appointment to check that the schedule is running to time.

Please give thought to the amount of time your appointment may require. If there are multiple or complex issues that need discussion, please let reception know when booking your appointment so that sufficient time can be allocated with the doctor.
