REGISTRAR TRAINING PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The doctors of Federation Clinic have been involved in training of GP Registrars for more than 30 years. Today the GP Registrars form a vital part of the medical team at the clinic. Federation Clinic is a teaching practice of the Bogong Regional Training Network(BRTN), the organisation responsible for provision of General Practice training in North East Victoria from Shepparton to the Albury Wodonga region.
Clinic doctors are involved in teaching registrars at all levels including:
- Doctors on rotation from Western Hospital to gain exposure to General Practice through the Prevocational General Practice Placements Program (PGPPP).
- Registrars beginning formal training in General Practice
- Experienced registrars completing their Fellowship training for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).
