Registered Nurse & Midwife

Laura completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2005 and then spent several years working in surgical and critical care units. Following a working holiday overseas, Laura then completed her Midwifery studies in 2009 through the Wodonga Maternity Unit where she then continued to work for the next 4 years. Laura gained further maternity experience at King Edwards Memorial Hospital in Perth and then returned to Albury-Wodonga to work at the Aboriginal Health Service providing antenatal care for the alt 4 years. Laura has certificates in Sexual & Reproductive Health, including Implanon insertion, women's health, PAP smears and immunisation. Laura has worked as a midwife in both regional and metropolitan maternity units over the past 10 years as well as providing antenatal care through midwife care programs for the past 4 years. Laura has helped develop Federation Clinics Midwife Care Clinic, which consults with many families throughout their pregnancies up until the first 6 weeks of the post natal period. Laura is proud to be part of our experienced and dedicated obstetrics team and is passionate about providing midwifery care options for patients. In her spare time Laura enjoys being a mum, spending time with her family, dogs and horses.
