Dr. Rosie Brewer

General practitioner

Rosie was born and grew up in Albury, moving to the family farm at Mudgegonga during her secondary school years. She completed her medical degree at Melbourne University in 1982 and subsequently worked at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne for 3 years. Deciding to pursue a career in General Practice, she then worked at a number of country placements in Victoria and Queensland before returning to the area in 1989. Rosie joined Federation Clinic in early 2013. Her special interests include Women’s Health and Travel Medicine.

“Following my training, I chose to live and work in Wodonga partly because of my family’s long term attachment to the area, but also because it offered the opportunity to practice community based medicine. I have many interests outside medicine, particularly gardening – I have completed my Diploma of Horticulture in Landscape Design and have a large garden to maintain! I also sew, play the piano and have a general love of music of most kinds. I have an Italian background and enjoy all aspects of Italian language and culture. I have done a lot of travelling in the past and hope to continue this, particularly to Europe’s many great gardens.”
