Sue joined Federation Clinic in 2015 with more than 30 years of experience in nursing including Primary Care, Midwifery, Maternal Child Health, Women’s Health, Sexual Health, Continence, Breast Care, Immunisation and Chronic Disease Management.
In Australia, the Nurse Practitioner role was developed to address the changing health care needs of our communities. Through training and expertise, Nurse Practitioners work within their scope and are eligible to perform advanced physician assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, initiate referrals to relevant health care providers and prescribe appropriate medications and other therapies when needed.
Sue’s Nurse Practitioner endorsement covers Primary Care, and her scope of Practice includes Women’s Health, Sexual Health, Immunisation, Antenatal Care, Postnatal Care, Chronic Disease Management, Asthma, Continence and Breast Care.
In her spare time Sue enjoys keeping busy on her farm, rising horses and spending time with her family.
……“I am very passionate about my work, and also teach nursing students at LaTrobe University. Federation Clinic is a wonderful place to work, everyone is friendly and supportive which is the key to providing the best care for our patients”.
