PREVENTIVE CARE

A well-established recall system attracts a great patient response. Our medical record software enables us to generate recall letters. Once this is set up in the patient record, it appears at the appropriate time in the future whenever the record is opened, prompting the doctor to make sure that action is taken.
The recall system can be used for:

• Routine tests such as pap smears.
• Customised recalls tailored to the individual’s special preventive health requirements such as colonoscopy screening for bowel cancer when there is a family history of this disease.
• Immunisation booster reminders, especially those that are easily forgotten six or twelve months after the initial dose.
