After graduating from Melbourne University in 1977 Phillip moved with his wife to Albury for his intern year at Albury Base Hospital. This was followed by 3 years in the UK where he trained in Obstetrics and Paediatrics. He returned with his family to Albury Wodonga in 1982 and joined the Hume Clinic.
In 1988 Phillip was part of the group that established Federation Clinic in the rapidly developing area of West Wodonga.
His special interests include obstetrics and acupuncture. He is also very involved in medical education and is a member of the Board of Management of the Bogong Regional Training Network, the organisation responsible for the training of GP Registrars in this area.
"We liked living in this area back in the 70s when we moved here after graduating and were very happy to be able to come back on our return from working overseas. It's been an ideal place to raise our family with good educational facilities available. Over the years I've enjoyed participating in many outdoor pursuits with friends and through local clubs including running, cross-country skiing, cycling and kayaking. The North East is a great area for all these activities as well as for wine and food."
