FLU VACCINATIONS

Flu vaccinations are usually available from late March or early April each year, depending upon the availability of the annual national vaccine stocks. It is recommended that most people have an annual flu vaccination as the strains of flu are often changing and annual vaccines are targeted to the most common occurring strains.

The flu vaccine is free under the National Immunisation Program for people aged 65 years or over, ATSI people under 5 years of age or over 15 years of age, pregnant women, and people with an eligible chronic disease (such as asthma or diabetes) that can lead to complications from influenza. For further information, please speak to our reception team.
