WELCOME NEW NURSE TO THE TEAM

Federation Clinic would like to welcome Helen Best, Registered Nurse, to the team. Helen will be providing nursing support to Dr Jessica Madden as part of the Doctors in Secondary Schools Program, based out of Wodonga Senior Secondary College and Wodonga Middle Years College.

This program is a Victorian Government project aimed at providing medical advice, health care and health education in select secondary schools, to those students most in need. Students are provided with the same service at the schools as they would receive in a GP clinic in the community. Clinical consulting rooms have been established at these schools to facilitate accessible, professional and confidential consultations. All students enrolled with the participating schools are eligible to access the GP with no out-of-pocket expense, subject to providing the required consent to access the services. Each participating school provides information to students and parents about the program, through newsletters and other on-campus methods.
